Here at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, nestled between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies, we can revel in the delightful 72-degree weather and immerse ourselves in America’s beloved pastime. It’s truly a slice of heaven.
Intimate Settings and Relaxed Atmosphere:
One aspect that has always drawn me to Spring Training is its intimate setting. Unlike the bustling 50,000-seat stadiums and chaotic traffic jams, Salt River Fields’ cozy capacity of just 12,000 creates a serene and enjoyable baseball experience. The atmosphere is relaxed, from coaches to players to fellow fans. Allow me to share a heartwarming moment: during the second inning, a Diamondbacks coach casually tossed a baseball our way. It was a simple gesture that made our day!
Spotlight on Eugenio Suarez:
Amidst the excitement, there was one player I was particularly eager to watch: Dbacks third baseman Eugenio Suarez. He was one of the team’s standout off-season acquisitions, I was looking forward to seeing him in person. And boy, did Suarez deliver! With a mighty swing, he launched a 3-run home run in the DBacks’ thrilling 5-3 victory. Safe to say, Picking up Suarez was a great move for the team.
